Question is this why there is any need to use such apps which require root access? This is because they want to do some changes in your phone's software. These changes are not allowed to do by manufacturer because of some purpose to protect warranty.

Not only for installing restricted apps, you can also uninstall or delete system applications from you phone. System apps like inbuilt calculator, sound recorder and settings app that are not allowed to delete from your phone.

Android OS is based on Linux and Linux is more secure than other OS like WINDOWS. Since, it is based on Linux which is secure based OS, there are limitations too in the smartphones in which OS is Android. Due to this, there are many apps not allowed to install in phone because of their nature.

Since we are neutral in this article, so we will discuss both benefits and harmful effects of rooting an android device. Before discussing pros, we will describe it's harmful effects to prevent you from such things.

Cons of Android Root

Since each and every thing in this world has both positive and negative results and this is similar in case of rooting. Here we will list some of the cons of rooting a phone and requesting you to read them carefully.

  • Warranty Loss

All smartphone brands has this thing in their policy that if you root your phone after purchase, all warranty assurance will be withdrawn from you.

Even if there is a warranty period and you have rooted your phone, all warranty and guarantee assurance after root will be taken back from you.

So, disadvantage of it is that if you have some issue in your phone and assurance is taken back, you need to pay for any service.

  • Handling Software

Rooting for a genuine reason is good but if someone do it just for fun, it will bring a big problem for your handset. If someone has no knowledge of handling and managing software, it will not an act of wisdom for him.

A single wrong step or mistake after rooting your set will make your handset a dummy phone or even just a box looking a smartphone.

  • Android Updates

After rooting a set, there will be issues in getting updates because you can't install update of your android version to the latest one after it.

Even after unrooting, you will have to suffer with different problems for you to install latest updates. Because once a problem is created is very difficult to stop it completely.

Need for updates or latest version? So don't root phone.

  • Unethical Attacks

Since, you have damaged warranty policies after rooting your phone. Now you can not prevent your phone from malware and malicious programs. No phone brand can help you break their policies and hence you through your own will destroy your phone.

These malicious software programs are really very dangerous as they can run their own files and execute them without your permission. Executing of these files will seriously damage your phone software and run all set-up according to their own will.

  • Error by mistake

As already discussed that after rooting, your phone will withdrawal all warranty and guarantee assurance from you. Now if you are doing some alteration in your software and due to some error you got stucked in between the process, you can't come back from it as there is no undo option.
