It is always a question in mind of bloggers while starting a blog that how to choose topic. A niche is similar like a branch in Engineering. For example, in current scenario IT sector has a vast scope and demand. It means if you study from IT or CSE branch or and other computer Science related branch, you will have better scope and more possibility to get a good job. But instead of it, if you go for another branch like Chemical engineeering where scope is much lesser than IT sector you will barely manage to get a good job. 

In similar way, there are many topics in blogging on which you can start writing and make a good amount.
